Triad mass spectrometry facility: solving problems for local industries

July 18, 2017

Our laboratory specializes in metabolomics and small molecule mass spectrometry. We provide quantitative LC-MS, fragmentation (MS-MS or MSn), GC-MS and MALDI-TOF-TOF MS analysis. The laboratory was created to provide mass spectrometry analysis and training to the UNC Greensboro Chemistry and Biochemistry Department, UNCG campus community, and the surrounding Piedmont Triad community.

There are two possible mechanisms for having samples analyzed in our facility. Samples can be submitted for analysis on a fee for service basis or students can run their own samples (following required training) on our instrumentation. Please contact Dr. Daniel Todd for more information. We provide students with assistance in experiment design, data acquisition, and data analysis. Over the past ten years, our laboratory has trained over 100 students in mass spectrometry, and we currently have 20 trained and active student users.
