Next MCsquared Greensboro HQ Meeting – July 16th at 3pm

Greetings!

We hope that everyone’s summer is going well. Please mark your calendars and join us for our next MCsquared gathering on Monday, July 16th, from 3-5pm at the Greensboro HQ in downtown. We are very excited to host guest speaker Dr. Tamam El-Elimat:

“Making the Leap to Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST): A Personal Discussion on my Transition from Student to Professor”

After earning my PhD from UNCG on 2014 under the supervision of Dr Nicholas Oberlies, I accepted a position at Jordan University of Science and Technology as an assistant professor at the Department of Medicinal Chemistry and Pharmacognsy, Faculty of Pharmacy. During this discussion section, I will be talking what I have been doing since after, including teaching (graduate and undergraduate), administration, research, and community service.

Dr. El Elimat, who graduated with a PhD from the UNCG Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry in 2015, will speak about her current work as a faculty member engaged in natural products research at JUST.  The format will be casual and there will be ample time for questions and discussions from the audience.  This will be a particularly good event for students, undergraduates or graduates, so please invite yours!  As always, we will have snacks, beer on tap, and non-alcoholic drinks. We hope to see you all there!
