CUR Transformation Project

July 18, 2017

The Department of Biology and the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at UNCG have been selected to participate in the CUR Transformations Project, an NSF-supported project of the Council of Undergraduate Research.  The UNCG project is titled “A Collaborative Proposal Between Chemistry and Biology to Scaffold Undergraduate Research Across the Curriculum at UNCG”.  The CUR Transformations project is a four-year project that will support the development of undergraduate laboratory research experiences in courses across the biology and chemistry curricula. UNCG was selected as only 1 of 12 campuses to participate as part of a nationwide effort to introduce this high-impact practice into science curricula.  The Lead PI on the project is Iglika Pavlova, with PI’s Jerry Walsh, Malcolm Schug, and Terry Nile.

See the recent UNCG Campus Weekly article for more details.
